| Children's Education Fund | |
Each
spring ACES launches its Children's Education Fund Drive to support the
educational programs we provide for local school groups.
ACES is
very proud that our programs provide a large part of the earth,
physical and life science curriculum to help elementary schools meet
state and district academic standards. So much more than just a few
field trips a year, ACES makes an impressive 29,000 student contacts
with 25 regional schools annually. Nearly every child in the community
benefits from ACES' Environmental Science program.
This year,
ACES' goal is to raise $133,000 to bridge the gap between what schools
are able to pay and the real cost of the program, which includes nine
highly qualified environmental educators plus teaching supplies and
materials. Toward that end, a letter is being sent to every ACES member
requesting their support. Please watch for your Children's Education Fund drive letter in the mail! For more information or to make a secure contribution on-line now, go towww.aspennature.org/donate-to-aces and select Children's Education Fund.
