After a busy summer full of programs and final construction projects we are looking forward to a slower pace around here. The floors are done and the heat pump is installed AND functioning. Yeah!!! We hope you will enjoy our new look and appreciate the new energy plan we are implementing. Green Talk - Green WalkFor more than forty years, ACES has led the community in promoting ecological literacy and environmental stewardship. Now, while remaining faithful to our roots, the study and stewardship of wild nature, we are adapting to current local and global conditions to be relevant and of service. From alternative energy systems (such as a ground-source heat pump) to water protection, ACES is involved in many exciting projects throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Through such efforts ACES will elevate our level of service. ACES’ annual contacts, including 30,000 with area students in the classroom and field, and 60,000 through programs with residents and visitors, will now be influenced and enhanced by a new perspective that makes the connection between healthy biodiversity and the essential resources of clean energy, wholesome food, and fresh water. |
