Directions to ACES at Hallam Lake

BIKING or WALKING directions from Rio Grande Trail:
* You can use Rio Grande Trail either direction; up-valley or down-valley
* You are close to ACES when you start crossing the bridges over the Roaring Fork River (Aspen Art Museum is upstream from ACES)
* Start looking for signs to ACES, Puppy Smith Street, Post office, or Jenny Adair Wetlands
* Take that bikepath - Jenny Adair wetlands with some picnic tables will be on your right
* Turn right after Jenny Adair wetlands (down-valley) and you will see stone pillar gates of ACES
* Ride or walk down our driveway. You can park your bike right in front of the center - WELCOME!

BIKING or WALKING directions from downtown Aspen:
* Go to Main street and find Hotel Jerome (Main and Mill streets)
* Go down the hill on Mill Street
* Take a left toward Clark's Market and the Mill Street Plaza shopping center
* Take the sidewalk past the Market toward the Post Office
* Go left around the post office and stay to the right when bikepath splits (do not go to the top of the hill)
* Bikepath comes to Puppy Smith Street - take a left and you will see stone pillar gates of ACES
* Ride or walk down our driveway. You can park your bike right in front of the center - WELCOME!

RIDING A BUS, BIKING or WALKING directions from Paepcke Park on Main Street:
* This is your bus stop - Paepcke Park with the gazebo - if you are coming upvalley on the bus - GET OFF!
* Cross Main Street and keep walking straight toward Red Mountain (away from Aspen Mountain Ski Area)
* Walk three blocks on Garmisch Street (you'll pass Red Brick Arts Center on your right)
* You'll end up in front of the Given Institute on the corner of Garmisch and Francis streets
* Look to your right and take that bikepath - no street is going to the right, only a bikepath
* Walk for about 150 feet and look for ACES sign to your left (on the chainlink fence)
* If you're walking: take a left through the gate in the fence and walk down steep stairs and a narrow wild trail to ACES - WELCOME!
* If you're riding a bike: stay on the bikepath and take your first sharp left turn which brings you to Puppy Smith Street. Take a left and ride on down our driveway. You can park your bike right in front of the center - WELCOME!

 

Driving Directions:

* HWY 82 East: entering town from the round-about, stay on Main Street until Mill Street (Hotel Jerome will be on your left)
* At Mill Street, take a left, heading toward Red Mountain (away from Aspen Mountain Ski Area)
* At the 3-way stop, take a left onto Puppy Smith Street
* At the next 4-way stop, continue straight, past the post office
* The road dead-ends at the ACES entrance; the parking lot is to your left
* WALK down ACES driveway to the center - WELCOME!

* HWY 82 West: entering town from Independence Pass, stay on Main Street until Mill Street (Hotel Jerome will be on your right)
* At Mill Street, take a right, heading toward Red Mountain (away from Aspen Mountain Ski Area)
* At the 3-way stop, take a left onto Puppy Smith Street
* At the next 4-way stop, continue straight, past the post office
* The road dead-ends at the ACES entrance; the parking lot is to your left
* WALK down ACES driveway to the center - WELCOME!
