Meetings and Presentations

Looking for a peaceful and bucolic venue to host a seminar, meeting, or retreat?  Consider ACES Rock Bottom Ranch when making your choice. Rock Bottom Ranch has ample room for meetings, with accommodating spaces both indoors and outdoors. Guests can enjoy 80-acres of the nature preserve's beautiful scenery and wildlife, as well as explore our indoor nature center. An ACES staff member will be available during the event to guide guests on a farmyard tour or through our nature preserve. Standard rental includes staff assistance for the duration of the rental and use of the Field Study Center, lawns, picnic areas, parking lot and a 30-minute educational program.

Your rental includes:

  • Use of Field Studies Center, large classroom and library
  • ACES Educator or Naturalist Guided Activity (Farm or Wildlands Tour) 
  • 2 Restrooms
  • Internet Access

Rental of ACES Rock Bottom Ranch Property for seminars, retreats, and business meetings is available at the following rates:

After regular hours (Monday-Friday or Saturday between 9am and 5pm)
$300 (three hours including set-up and clean-up). Non-profit rate is $150 (additional hours are $50 per hour).

Guidelines:

  • During normal hours of operation, members of the public are allowed on grounds, but are encouraged
    to respect the privacy of events. Hours of operation 9am–5pm, Monday-Saturday.
  • Certificate of Liability Insurance must be provided to ACES.
  • Facility Rental Contract and payment must be provided to reserve an event date.

Maximum Occupancy:

  • 40 people maximum for rentals in Field Studies Center
  • 25 cars maximum in the parking lot; local shuttle services can be recommended
  • Parking at the Field Studies Center is reserved for handicapped persons and supply drop-off only
  • Abundant bike parking next to the farmyard, conveniently located adjacent to the Rio Grande Trail

Items NOT permitted at Rock Bottom Ranch:

  • Dogs
  • Tents on the Nature Preserve (Event Tents need to be approved by ACES Staff)
  • Single-use silverware, dishware, cups and bottled water
