Ride your bike on the Rio Grande Trail to Rock Bottom Ranch - THE BEST WAY TO GET TO RBR! * RBR is located right on the Rio Grande Trail about half way between Basalt and Carbondale * If you live anywhere close to the Rio Grande Trail, just hop on your bike and come on down! * If you need to drive to the trail, here are some good options: * Carbondale to RBR: 5.3 miles (riding upvalley) * Catherine Bridge Trailhead to RBR: 2.5 miles (riding upvalley) - GREAT FOR FAMILIES * Hooks Lane Trailhead to RBR: 2 miles (riding downvalley) - GREAT FOR FAMILIES * Basalt High School to RBR: 5 miles (riding downvalley) * Aspen to RBR: 23.2 miles (riding downvalley) * Glenwood Springs to RBR: 16.5 miles (riding upvalley) * Download the Rio Grande Trailmap .pdf Driving directions to Rock Bottom Ranch from Aspen: * Just past Basalt, turn left at the stoplight off of 82 onto Willits Lane * Turn left onto Hooks Lane to cross the Roaring Fork River * After bridge, take an immediate right onto Hooks Spur Road * Hooks Spur Road (approximately 2 miles) dead ends at Rock Bottom Ranch
