Kids Programs

Rock Bottom Ranch hosts many Kids Programs throughout the year, ranging in length from half-day programs to multi-day camps. The goal of the programs is to garner a sense of place through hands on experiences and place-based learning. Depending on the class and season, children could be doing anything from milking goats for making ice-cream to tracking elk through the snow.

Kids Summer Classes

This summer, join the staff at RBR for fun filled week-long or day camps with more options than ever before! Divided in various age groups, our week-long camps allow your kids to grow up understanding what it takes to be a farmer and rancher, explorer and naturalist in the Roaring Fork Valley. From little Ducklings to teenage Ranch Hands and Trail Blazers, each age category will focus on special skills and activities most appropriate for that age so they will be prepared for their next Farm and Wilderness Adventure. Or, choose to join us for a day camp of stomping around in muddy creek beds or handling live snakes! The possibilities are endless! Click here for our summer camp options. Use the "Kids' Classes" scroll bar to the left of that screen to navigate different age groups.

Camp ReGeneration - Are you a middle or high school student who has ever wanted to grow your own food? Join Eden Vardy of Aspen T.R.E.E. and other high altitude gardening experts to learn about gardening practices that are in unison with nature.  We will plant trees, design and build garden beds, learn about composting, and explore how seemingly different ecological elements can work together. When participants aren't delving into gardening, cooking, and raising chickens, there will be the opportunity for daily yoga practice, traditional arts, and hikes. Transportation is included from Aspen and El Jebel - less carbon in the atmosphere, more time in your day! Additionally, each week of this camp is approved for 1 undergraduate credit through Adams State College! Let us know if you are interested in it! Click Here to Register!

Birthday Parties! Do you have a budding naturalist? Is she crazy about all things nature? Does he love animals? Well, how about a birthday party at RBR just foryour child?!?! Click here for a variety of birthday themes.
