Toklat Legacy

ACES has been the steward of this special community asset for three years
now.

Toklat has served as a traditional gathering place for special groups for over
60 years. Notable among those groups is the Aspen Institute. Many
influential thinkers and leaders have found inspiration here. The wonderful
place itself speaks to many who visit, and those who are particularly
attentive are able to engage in a form of dialog with wild nature there.

Toklat encourages contemplation and articulation of a world view which
includes a commitment to the natural world, and a recognition of the value
of diversity and balance of all life including human cultures.

From the dialog, there often emerges a resolve to serve a greater good; to
be a part of something bigger and far more enduring than oneself, a healthy
planet which is enhanced, not diminished, by one's being here.
