Come help us be creative and useful with our waste! In this class you will learn about the materials we consider trash - plastic, paper, and wood. You will help us design and build a bike rack for ACES' use out of wooden loading pallets. We will make useful things out of wasteful materials such as plastic and paper that you can bring from home. Along the way, we'll learn about the materials we mistakenly call trash and how best to recycle, refuse, or reuse them.
Please pack a backpack with lunch, water, rainwear, clothing for warm and cold weather, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes (absolutely no sandals) and wear clothing that can get dirty.
