![]() Maps and Mountains: twoKids Orienteering class Learn basic navigating skills you can use your whole life! This hands-on experience focuses on compass use, maps, and the natural landscape. The group will travel to the top of Aspen Mountain on the gondola to practice their newly acquired skills. Each student will take home a compass so that they can continue their explorations.This series includes various classes throughout the season. WHAT TO BRING: Pack a backpack with snack, lunch, water, rain jacket, clothing for warm and cold weather, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses. Wear appropriate clothing - we will go up Aspen Mountain and it can get cold! Wear sturdy closed-toed shoes - absolutely no sandals! HOW TO GET THERE: Please bike or walk to ACES whenever possible - it's not only fun, it saves the planet! Every time you come to ACES in something other than your own car (carpools work, too) you will receive a sticker to place on our Alternative Transportation Board.
