ACES Ed Field Science Programs

The best classroom is the outdoors

Our field programs elevate traditional education by blending science, critical thinking, and outdoor hands-on learning. Each year, ACES Ed provides over 400 field programs with 62 partner schools.

Students are able to participate in activities such as studying geology while hiking at Maroon Lakes, harvesting potatoes at Rock Bottom Ranch, tracking winter animals in the snow, and digging snow pits to analyze the snowpack at the top of Aspen Mountain.

Addiitonally, ACES can provide a variety of teacher-training and consulting opportunities around environmental science education. To discuss setting up a program for your school give Derek Ferguson, ACES’ Education Manager a call at 970-925-5756 or [email protected].
