From running professionally for Denmark as one of the country’s top sprinters, to moving through the landscapes of the Roaring Fork Valley, Charlotte will share the story of how a high-performance athlete evolved into a mindful long-distance runner. Through personal experience, professional journeys, and her love for the outdoors, she will share ways to become more awake in running, nature, and life in general.

Charlotte tries to live by Thich Nhat Hanh's words as she leads Mindful Running Retreats in some of the planet's most stunning locations. The start of Charlotte's running began with a career rooted in trophy hunting, performance goals, and professional competitions on the Danish National Team. Now her running has evolved into a practice of mindful movement and joy found in nature. A native of Denmark, Charlotte, her husband, and 2 boys moved to Aspen in 2013. They left the flatlands of a European city and careers with 15 duffle bags because their hearts longed for mountains, adventure, and life outdoors.
What is Wild Perspectives?
ACES' brand new Wild Perspectives speaker series features exciting accounts of world travel, adventure, and the natural world through stories and visual media in partnership with The Collective and the Town of Snowmass.
From January through March, this speaker series takes place every Tuesday evening at 6PM at The Collective, providing an opportunity for community-building and story-telling that engages Aspen and Snowmass locals and visitors alike.
