Winter Survival Challenge (Grades 4-6)
Are you ready to face the survival challenges that winter brings? Would you be able to thrive outside? Test out your ability to survive in the cold, snow-filled mountains. Learn about the ancient skills of building a shelter, finding food, gathering water and starting a fire in an action-packed winter day at ACES Hallam Lake and beyond.
This class is for students currently enrolled in grades 4-6.
What To Bring:
Pack a backpack with snack, lunch, reusable water bottle, extra change of clothing, sunscreen, warm hat, gloves/mittens, and sunglasses. Please remember to label everything. Wear appropriate clothing to play in the snow and sturdy, winter boots!
How To Get There:
Please walk, bike, bus, carpool, or ski to ACES sites whenever possible (yes, you really could cross country ski to ACES when there is enough snow). Parking at all sites is extremely limited and alternate transportation is fun and saves the planet!
