Winter Guided Snowshoe & Ski Tours
During the winter months, ACES offers a variety of daily programs at spectacular locations around Aspen. Join an ACES Naturalist for daily guided snowshoe tours on top of Aspen Mountain, at Snowmass, and at Ashcroft, or hop on a Naturalist-guided ski tour at Snowmass. From January through March, head down to Hallam Lake for weekly slide show series where local adventurers share tales from abroad at Potbelly Perspectives on Wednesday evenings and regional experts share their knowledge of relevant naturalist topics at Naturalist Nights on Thursday evenings. New in 2020, ACES is also offering a new adventure travel speaker series, Wild Perspectives, on Tuesday nights at 6PM at The Collective in Snowmass! Visit our sites, featuring free admission during open hours and staff available to answer any questions and show you around! Hallam Lake boasts a plethora of education animals including our birds of prey. Rock Bottom Ranch farm tours are offered Wednesdays and Fridays at 11AM in the summer, and Fridays at 11AM in the winter.

Summer Guided Hikes
Explore Aspen with ACES! From June until September, ACES offers a variety of things to do for all ages at spectacular locations around Aspen. Join an ACES Naturalist guide for free daily hikes, which explore popular local spots like Aspen and Snowmass mountains, the Maroon Bells and Snowmass' Ice Age dig.
Looking for a longer adventure in the Aspen area? Our popular Green World Day Hike and River Run Sunset Hike are both a must-do Aspen activity. Offered daily by reservation, these tours include the Ashcroft Ghost Town and lunch or dinner at the Pine Creek Cookhouse!
If you have a particular hike in mind, our Hire a Guide program offers many options for private, custom hikes and tours with certified interpretive Naturalist that are first-aid trained guides.
