Amplify your support with national advocacy groups, such as the NRDC or Sierra Club (or ACES!). Get involved with your chapter of the Citizen's Climate Lobby. Vote for candidates who support the environment!
Livestock farming produces almost 20% of all greenhouse gas emissions from human-related activities. The carbon impact of eating beef if 6x the amount of chicken, and 25x the amount of veggies!* Incorporate a few plant based meals each week to have a huge impact. We recommend #meatlessmondays!
Turn off the Lights
Simple actions can make a big difference. Every day try to make a habit of turning off lights, taking shorter showers, riding your bike, carpooling, using public transportation, or putting on a sweater instead of turning up the thermostat!
Supporting local agriculture reduces food transportation - and therefore carbon emissions. Carbons emissions are a contributing factor to climate change. Go to the farmers market, or visit ACES' Rock Bottom Ranch for local products and sustainably grown meat.
