Finding Strength in Wild Places: A Photographer's Guide to Resilience

Join local photographer Devin Pool as he tells his stories of seeking out perfection in wild places. Devin’s story starts in West Texas surrounded by private land and barbed wire fences with a struggle of depression. His story progresses to the realization that public lands are out there for all of us to enjoy, and a true connection to the natural world was the best cure for mental illness. His love of wilderness led him to spectacular sunrises overlooking huge glacial valleys, long nights spent atop cold peaks, and cool golden light across desert landscapes. Come to hear his story and enjoy a slideshow of all of Devin’s favorite photos.

Tea, donated by Two Leaves and a Bud Tea Company, beer, donated by Aspen Brewing Company, and cookies will be offered during lecture.
