Water, Women, and Wheels: An Off-The-Beaten-Path Adventure in Africa

In the summer of 2017, Amy had the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling in Africa. She wanted not only to visit, but also to “enter in” and help the poor and needy. Through the work of World Vision, Amy and team of twelve delivered bicycles to people in remote Zambia to help “brake the cycle of poverty.” Through the gift of a bicycle, lives are improved, economic development happens, children go to school, nurses and clean water volunteers can visit more people. Amy saw first hand that something we take for granted here in Aspen, a simple bike, can change lives! Throw in a couple of safaris and a trip of a lifetime became a dream larger than she could have imagined!

Tea, donated by Two Leaves and a Bud Tea Company, beer, donated by Aspen Brewing Company, and Paradise Bakery cookies will be offered during lecture.
