Toklat Workshop | Basic Ski Maintenance

Join ACES Naturalist Dayton Knutson for an evening of waxing your ski/snowboard for the next powder day. Dayton was born and raised in Colorado, skiing since he was 2 years old. He has since become an avid backcountry skier and ski-mountaineer, and as such, likes to take good care of his gear. Bring your skis/boards and learn how to hot wax your own equipment. Dayton will also share some pointers for cooking a delicious Colorado favorite, Green Chili.

Participants must RSVP below; program will be capped at 15 people.
This is a free workshop, donations welcome.
Materials provided.

ACES and the Toklat family are excited to offer several new community programs in the coming months. The programs will take place every Sunday, 5-8 pm, at the Catto Center at Toklat. Each member of Toklat will focus on getting back to our roots, both as individuals formed by the culture of our childhoods and as a species interacting with our environment. And what better place to do so than a cabin named Toklat, named for the headwaters, the origins, of a glacially carved valley? Join us at the headwaters of the Castle Creek Valley as we get back to our roots through the following programs.

5PM - 8PM
